Lila School of Bands – Policies

At Lila School of Bands, we are proud to provide a premium music education experience.
Our policies are designed to maintain high standards, respect our teachers’ time, and create the best possible opportunities for our students.

1. Safety & Wellbeing

  • All Lila teachers are police-vetted to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • We prioritise student safety and have clear protocols in place during lessons, rehearsals, and events.

2. Code of Conduct

  • Zero tolerance for bullying – any bullying behaviour may result in immediate removal from the program.
  • We encourage respect, teamwork, and a positive learning atmosphere in every session.

3. Performance Opportunities

  • Students enrolled for a full term are guaranteed a performance spot at one of our end-of-term showcases (either band or solo).
  • These performances build confidence, celebrate achievement, and give students valuable real-world experience.

4. Attendance & Catch-Up Lessons

Tutors reserve and commit to your weekly lesson time in advance, and therefore students are expected to attend their scheduled session each week. Missed lessons are not eligible for credits, refunds, or catch-up sessions.

The only exception is illness, where one catch-up lesson per term may be offered where reasonable notice is given. Any additional missed lessons due to sickness or other circumstances will still be charged as normal.

This policy exists to protect our tutors’ time and ensure they can rely on consistent weekly income

6. Payment & Invoicing

  • Every student is entitled to one free trial in any program.
  • Once enrolled, invoices must be paid by the due date.
  • Payment confirms your commitment to the full term – no refunds for early withdrawal.
  • Before each term ends, you’ll be asked in Week 8 and again in Week 10 if you plan to continue.
  • If you withdraw less than 7 days before the next term’s start date without prior notice, a 20% cancellation fee applies.

Thank you for supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional music education while respecting both students and teachers.
We look forward to making music with you!
